According to the United Nations, by the year 2030 between 60% and 70% of the world’s population will live in cities. Regardless of all the positive and negative connotations that these figures might have, it is our belief that encouraging the new generation of artists to channel some of their talent in the register of urban life is an ideal that can and should be exported worldwide.
For this reason, after the completion of our first cycle of development, which is estimated to finish at the end of 2009, we plan to start opening franchises in cities around the world. Being consequent with our statement that nothing is more enriching for the human species than personal contact and face-to-face interaction, the editorial teams of the franchises will have complete artistic freedom to determine how the Outsider’s Guide of their city should be.
People interested in opening a franchise of the Outsider’s Guide are invited to send us a proposal, which should deal with the following points: key issues that they want to address, developmental plan of the project, proposal (s) for the visual component of the project and a financial plan that shows that the project is sustainable.
In the near future, we expect the Outsider’s Guide to become a network where our sponsors can expose themselves globally as institutions committed to the construction of fraternal cultural bonds and the promotion of new talent.
